Abstract

The article presents a full edition of the partially broken tablet ABL 307 (K 1078). The text is unique in the Neo-Assyrian corpus, and its classification still remains elusive. The tablet is neither a letter nor a royal deliberation; most likely, it is a regional memorandum delivered from/concerning the land Nuhub (location uncertain) reporting some appeals to the king. The article also discusses the structure and the possible date of the text, and the personal names mentioned in it, with extensive textual notes.
